I love the rain, really I do. Sometimes I even go for a walk just because it looks like rain and I'll be caught in the middle of it. However today I

strangers. Well, not so much round here. However who doesn't love to dress up the house, put on an outfit and dance round with friends to

horrendously tragic music whilst marveling at the stupidity of it all.

My boy has gone away for nine months. That roughly works out to be about 38 weeks or 274 days with a whole lot of hours and minutes

thrown in for fun too. He has been deployed to Afghanistan and whilst I know that it is not forever and that it's his job which he is 100% committed

to, I am selfish and wish I could have him here with me, he is rather perfect. However the thought of using my bright orange typewriter and being

able to send off brown wrapped parcels tied up with string is rather exciting and makes it slightly better.

I love those songs that will always put you in a good mood no matter what. For me its bubblegum punk. I have only

been introduced to The Spazzy's recently which is a shame as they haven't released anything new for a while but

like Save Ferris and Letters to Cleo they will always be a guilty pleasure of mine. At heart I'm such a 90's kid. As well

as very cheesy. Like cheesy-mite scrolls. Like mac and cheese. Comforting and full of goodness.

I love my pa. He is the greatest man I know. I hope everyone has someone they can relate to in the way I can with my dad. My favourite times
spent with him are on our daily walks. He tells great stories, gives the best advice and talks to everyone he meets - ignoring my protests, what
is there not to love? Fathers day was spent battling extreme wind conditions which caused us to leap onto our food before the plates would
take off (mustard stains a plenty), chase after runaway napkins and table settings as well as cursing our pathetic choice of location. It was too
funny. Honest. Crying with laughter.

It has been a while since I last wrote. After spending quite sometime in the US road tripping, having daily adventures, hanging out with one

of the coolest girls I know, eating a plenty and going to some of the most awesome theme parks I have come home inspired, broke, a touch

tired and extremely behind in posts. There is so much to see and do in America that you need months. You still wouldn't be able to do it all.

Honest. Like Australia. Like anywhere. You will never uncover every secret and see every amazing site. But we try.

SAN FRANCISCO

People watching is best done in China Town & Fisherman's Wharf. So much colour and individuality. Waving your hands round your head do

not keep pigeons at bay. Houses that are sugar coated are extra sweet on sun filled days. Ball games are fun when sitting with crazy Englishmen.

In particular ginger haired ones, whilst sipping hot chocolate and practicing your tourette skills. Piercings are cool. Especially on amazing red

heads who are kindred spirits. Peace and love equals no parking tickets.

ROAD TRIP
46 hours straight with no stopovers is crazy. 12 states in just under six days is amazing. Truck stop snacks do not satisfy after the third stop.

Beef Jerky is plain wrong. Never wear a wife beater when trying to cross the Texas/Mexico border. Rabbits play in the sky. 5 hour energy shots

causes nausea and hysterical laughing. Six energy shots in one day equals disaster. Singalongs are vital.

HARRY POTTER WORLD
Castles are amazing when lit with floating candles. Toads are quite musical reptiles. 43 degree heat with snow capped houses is quite humorous.

Joke shops are not meant for boys. they are meant for sly little girls. Candy in glass jars causes impressive salivation. If I was a beer I'd want to

taste like butter. I want to be a kid forever.

DISNEY WORLD
Walt Disney is a genius. Staring at the Enchanted Castle makes you wonder why anyone ever wants to grow up. Having wood spit on you is

quite refreshing. Frozen bananas, there are no words. Alice equals perfection. Deli pickles amuse me. If I were a jelly bean I would be toasted

marshmallow. Mouses never let you down. Trees are magical. Splash mountain = best first ride. The Medusa = the best ride. Sunsets with a

Mexican feast is drool worthy and perfection at the very least.

DELICIOUSNESS
If I were to die tomorrow Vegan Love Hut Pho Noodle Soup would be my last meal. Clam chowder in a bread bowl is a no brainer. Set meal

plans for $6 with pickled ginger. Oh. My. A 'made for giants' wrap should be consumed by as many people as possible. Vegetarian chili at Disney

World on 40 degree day is surprisingly refreshing. Swirl is to die for. Honest to god. Swirl three time sin one day is not. Breakfast burritos can

not be conquered by boys with egos. Burgers with rock melon? Extreme sundaes should be avoided at all costs. Even if your photo may be

plastered on a wall.

In two days I will be boarding a plan set for the hills of San Fran to see my most special friend. Sally is like no other. Literally.

She is the coolest girl I know with the best taste in music. She gets me when no one else does and it has been pretty hard

with her moving there over a year and more ago. But she is doing great so how can I be sad??

And San Francisco. Somewhere between the waking and sleeping there's already a costumed pug parade in progress past

the candy coloured Victorian houses. A street corner prophet using a megaphone to recite beat poetry and skate borders grinding

to an halt to catch a glimpse of an orange bridge poking through the fog. A place where east meets west and fact meets fiction.

So first stop San Fran. Second, road trip across south to Florida then back again to San Fran. Oh take me now.

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to live in Sweden. I'm pretty sure being in love with Pippi Longstocking played a part in this.

She was a girl who lived by herself, rode horses and had adventures. How could you not? Then there was A Swedish Love Story. How I

wanted to be Annika with her big blue eyes. There just seems to be something so magical about the place. If only I could run away with

Elinkan and Karoline, paddling down the river with our bikes tucked aside for later use I would be so blissfully happy. Oh to be lost in my

sea of thoughts.

Today my new camera arrived! The Diana F+ is famous for its dreamy, radiant, and lo-fi images. I cannot wait to use it. Though I was rather
stupid as I didn't think to order my film at the same time... so now there are more shipping costs. Luckily it's a present for graduating. Crazy.

I love when birthday's come around. Correction, when other people's birthdays come around. They were never a big deal in my house but I

think everyone should be made to feel special on their day. It's always the little things that count. Such as secret messages, big signs, snail

mail, baked treats, personalised drawings, flower trails or a surprise visit. My friend's birthday was yesterday so I made some fairy cupcakes.

I think they are pretty good for a first attempt.

I love baking. It's something I can do without thinking and barely ever stuff it up. I'm getting pretty good at not measuring things out. Nothing

smells better than a hazelnut torte baking in the oven whilst listening to Cloud Control dreaming of future trips and special friends. Pity it stuck,

so it was eaten with spoons straight from the glorious pan itself.

When its raining and you have been stuck in doors all week, at work and home, you tend to go a bit insane. The perfect solution is to grab

your bags, filled with sweet treats, tea, sewing equipment, a close friend and pencils. It is a never fail combination really. It doesn't matter

that it is raining and you are squashed under a fir tree. Or that the wind keeps blowing away your paper friends and your wearing summer dresses

so the flu seems most inevitable.

It has been forever and a day, no make that months since I have had the time to sit down and type. I can't believe
the whirlwind my life has become. Straight from Christmas I went over to New Zealand to spend my glorious summer
and have been working non stop seven days since I got back. Oh how I loved New Zealand. It is amazingly beautiful.
I found Neverland in the Bay of Islands, oh Peter you are so lucky! as well as paradise in Queenstown. I'm seriously
considering moving there. Amazing landscape, real fruit ice cream, home to Ferg Burger and the adventure capitol.
What more could you want?? oh take me now.........

Who knew girls could be so aggressive? well we did, I just haven't seen it out in public as a sport. I went to the roller derby last weekend, it was

so so so good! we saw newcastle vs. sydney, such a good game. I had always thought about trying out but who am I kidding?? I'm not fierce, I

can't even look fierce in photos, I look like the kid who pretended to be tough but secretly wished she was safe at home where there would be

no trouble.

It's kind of funny the things you thought were cool as a kid. I remember watching the boys up our street jump on their push bikes or skateboards
and head up to the local park to run a muck whilst my sister and I would watch behind prickly bushes. I still wish I had been brave enough to

Our parents have just got back from a couple of days in the Hunter Valley. Between lots of cheese and wine they still managed to make a trip
to the candy factory. They brought back many treats for us. The chocolate never made it inside. The candy was so colourful and delicious and

My best friend turned twenty-two today. Twenty Two. Growing up I always thought being in your twenties meant you were really cool and all

I saw Wicked on the weekend. It was amazing. It was magical. It was emotional. It was the best musical I've seen. Yes, I am gushing but it
truly was. Ash and I went to chinatown first for dinner and had delicious asian treats ending in fortune cookies. However we were not too
inspired by our own forecasts..... but our waitress was really cute and helpful, we loved her pronunciation.

I love seafood. The fact that I have never been to the Sydney Fish Markets before amazes me. However I wasn't prepared for the smell. It is
quite overpowering. But the food was delicious. Even if the fish were staring at me as I chowed down on a seafood basket. It’s called the

Today I made chocolate fig cookies that was supposed to be so very delicious and good for you (seeing as it was a diabetics recipe).
They, however, were not. I love figs, chocolate and apple puree. But mixed together but they tasted doughy and disappointing. They
were weirdly spongy like I had added Chux as the secret ingredient. But the day was nice so I got to fool around outside

I love Oxford Street. I could easily spend a whole day there. Recently Ash and I ventured into every bookstore and shop, looked in every cafe
and alleyway till our feet cried defeat! We had lunch at a cute little place that served the most delicious meals. I had the corn fritters and
banana smoothie while Ash had the fresh OJ with beef medallions and pasta. I heart days like this.

The rain has broken! Well for today. I have finally been able to do two loads of washing and go for a run (okay..... more of a fast paced walk).
It was so bright out that I sneezed. Twice. Every time I do the washing I'm always reminded of the time when my mouth was washed out when

I woke up this morning to find I had received a visit from the postie with my two favourite publications sitting on the doorstep (luckily I have a

I was thinking about how much fun I had when I was younger, not worrying about anything, like when cutting siblings hair was seen as a good
play activity. It didn't matter that your hair would never be the same again for weeks. That your mum had a melt down when she saw the pair
of you with hair all over the sink or that the other kids laughed because you shared similarities to Arnie Pye and Jane Lane. It didn't matter
because it had been exciting & eventful and dare say fun. I want to not worry. I want to have fun. Doing the things I want to do. Then capturing
it to remiss about later.
